Member Safety
Message exchange on the site is deliberately confined to the
secure Messaging Service, which is not an e-mail. One advantage
being that unacceptable messaging can quickly be identified
and brought to our attention. For advice on member safety please
read our safety advice page.
In order to provide reassurance to members Someone2travelwith
reserves the right to allow and facilitate the changing of a
member’s password and/or nickname. However, for reasons of continuity
and reduced administration, we will not undertake this exercise
without justification and reserve the right to decline any member
request.
For reasons of site and personal security, we do not allow
members to post images on the secure messaging service.
Keeping a record
It is a wise precaution to keep copies of all correspondence
sent and received, but it is essential that copies of any messages
or other documents, upon which you may wish to rely on as part
of a complaint, are kept if you have concerns about another
member.
Please note:
Whilst Someone2travelwith monitors the site, we remain
reliant on members notifying us of problems they are experiencing.
Material, e.g. messages, must be saved independently of the
site.
You are required to forward copies of any messages which
give rise to concern at the earliest opportunity. Where upon
each message will be viewed both on individual merit and, where
possible, in the context of the overall correspondence sent
by both parties.
Someone2travelwith reserves the right to be the sole
arbitrator of what is considered to be acceptable or unacceptable
behaviour, on or off the site in relation to member conduct
and/or actions and reserves the right to close or suspend the
membership of any member it considers to have misused or abused
the site, service or a member. Please see
